Last year T had Kamiks and they were great. I've heard great things about BOGS and am debating between the 2. We live in Maine so good winter boots are a must!

Bogs won't be good for winter, unless it's a specific winter boot Bog and not the rubber rain boots that are more popular.
LO has LL Bean winter/snow boots.

Charlie has some Sorels that I bought off ebay that should still fit him this year (I bought one size big last year).
I bought Olive the duck boots from gap in the boys' section.

@Mrs. Bee: doing the exact same thing. Bought DS Sorels one size up last year and I think they will still fit this year. I need to dig them out and try them on him though.

She got Uggs as a gift, but they are not water-proof so I'll need to buy her some snow boots!

DD has LL Bean Northwoods boots. I like that they come with an extra liner!

We got the bogs winter boots last year and again this year. They are -30 rated and super warm in the winter!

We have the bog boots (the winter, fuzzy lined ones) and I think they'll be great!

@Mrs. Bee: can your son move his foot? Does he walk properly, or does he kind of lift up his whole foot? That has been our issue.

@looch: they are pretty heavy and clunky. he can walk properly, but he is not picky about his shoes at all. olive had kamiks last year and they were a lot lighter. if you're looking for less clunky, i think kamik is a better bet.

@winniebee: now that you're here in Maine....they have both the Bean boots and Bogs at LL Bean if you want to try them in person. JL Coombs (downtown on Exchange Street) should also have the Bogs and I know they have Hunter boots too, Uggs (regular Uggs and the winter snow boots), etc.

@winniebee: there are so many good boots out there! I never knew that LL Bean sold any other brand besides their own, but I know they also sell Bogs and do free shipping if they don't have your item in the store so I always recommend people go there in person if they want to try something on!

I like the Stonz boots (soft sole) but am also going to buy a pair of hard sole too... Maybe the LL bean mentioned above!

They're super flexible, which was my main criteria. I didn't want clunky boots or my son just won't wear them.

@mrsjazz: which ones did you go with? I'm also going cheap, she won't really need them besides playing outside so I don't see the need in spending more than 25 bucks on a pair.

has anyone ever heard of Rubber duck snow joggers? I got DD a pair but we have never been in the snow before and not sure if they are going to keep her feet warm/dry enough...
