So, yesterday I got a voicemail from college bff and knew immediately something was wrong just from her tone of voice. When I returned the call she tells me that her sister died 
Bff's wedding is in less than two weeks. I am a bridesmaid, and her sister was to be too. Through her sobs she said that the wedding is still happening..
Blah, I just wish I knew what to do! She is in CA, I am in UT, and I just dont know what I can do to support her from afar. What would you do?

Oh my I am so sorry.
If there is any way I would try to be out there before the wedding if possible.
If not, try and see if there is anything you can do to help from afar to wrap up wedding details. Things like creating vendor lists, confirming deliveries, etc can all be done via phone and email usually. Check out WeddingBee to look for ideas for To Do lists.

Oh no how awful. I would just let her know that I'm there for her.... I don't think there's much more that you can do. Maybe try to find out if her sister was supposed to have any special wedding duties that you can take over.
Also it's usually traditional to send flowers when someone dies.... but I'm Jewish so we send food and donate to a charity that has to do with how the person died.

Oh no! That's so heart breaking!! I'd inquire with her what you can do/take over some of her sister's duties to help wrap up the wedding, and to let her know you're there for her.

Oh my gosh, that's horrible!!! I'm so sorry for you and your friend!! I agree with @Alivoo01 - you should ask if there are any wedding related duties that you can take on to help her out with, and just let her know that she's in your thoughts. So sad.

I realize a sibling is different but my sister lost her boyfriend a couple of years ago and the biggest thing for her was simply support. Having friends to help take her mind off things (when that was needed), to cry to, etc. Most of us cannot relate to what your friend is going through which can make it harder. I agree with everyone else - offer to do anything to help which may mean taking control of things if she isn't asking for help. Lots of love to your friend.

Wow that is so so sad thoughts sent to her through this hard time. Could you go there a little early to help her out so she at least can have a hand with things?
