So tomorrow we are flying home for Christmas. We were going to stay with my brother and sister in law and nephew. Last weekend he threw up a little, and they thought he was coughing too hard, until my brother and then (today) sister in law got it so it was a stomach bug. She called me today to say we shouldn't stay with them tomorrow, but I am wondering if we should stay with them at all. I have a 2.5 year old and a 10 month old, what would you do?

I personally would not want to stay with them. Can you stay with someone else or get a hotel? Traveling while sick is no fun!

@bao We do have someone else to stay with, my parents. That's where we are staying at least temporarily......

@MamaBehr: I would just stay with your parents. Better to be safe than sorry. It sure would ruin Christmas if you all caught a stomach bug.

Yeah I'd avoid the stomach bug at all costs..that is NO fun!

i wouldn't stay with them. our whole family had a stomach bug recently and it was not fun. those things are very contagious!

I wouldn't stay with them. You dont want to get sick for Christmas, new years, your ride home, etc. Not worth it!

Yikes don't stay with them! and wash your hands a LOT around them because the stomach flu is super contagious

Just stay with your parents if they offer later you can just say you are already settled in and don't want to move all your stuff

I voted no...but furthermore: I'd try to avoid all kisses & hugs between them & the youngest baby at least, if not your toddler as well. Sick kids are no fun!!!
And maybe get on some Airborne or something? -
Our 5 month old got a tummy bug and a sick baby throwing up everywhere is no fun. Of course hubs and I got it too. This might be TMI but it took almost a week for DS diapers to get back to normal, I don't know how long you are staying with your family but a flight home with a baby with diharrea would not be fun...

I would stay with your parents. I think your brother & SIL will understand since they are parents too. Travelling with sick babies is no fun.
