DH is traveling 2 hours south (by car) next week. He's going back to the city where we "met" (technically) for the first time.
He wants LO and me to go with so we can go back to all the places we visited and take the same pictures we took 3 years ago, but with our LO included.
There isn't much to do in that city and LO and I will probably be in the hotel most of the day. :T Doesn't sound too appealing to me..
Would you go or stay home?

@chopsuey119: Well, what's the difference between being at home or being with him? Would it be nice to spend that extra time with him when he's off work rather than sit at home with your LO and be missing him? That's what I would think of. Bonus - you get to eat out.

@mediagirl: Being home is more convenient because LO can roam freely. Hotel rooms are so dirtyyy. :T I'd have to take a sheet/blanket to spread on the floor so LO can play and take toys too.
But yes.. not having to miss DH would be nice for sure! HAAH eating out is a plus as well!

I agree that traveling with a LO takes a bit more planning and work but just think of the lovely memories you guys can (re)create for yourselves and your LO

I love these types of trips and I think recreating pictures with your LO will be so much fun! I'm glad you decided to go (even though Warner Robins is not a tourist city by any stretch!).

@mediagirl: HAHA we met on Eharmony! I flew out to meet him (flew into ATL and we drove down to WR). Lol. He was working on a contract with the air force base.

I would go, because even if the day is long and not that enjoyable, you will at least appreciate the photos later! Give it a chance.

You can take LO to Monkey Joes! The nieces love it there!
ILs are moving back within a year....haha go figure.
ETA: And the worst thing regarding food is most things are chain!

HUGE Air Force town. To the point where if certain business don't offer military discount they close down ASAP because they get boycotted. There's actually a lot of Atlantans (??) that commute because housing is so cheap.

I'd go! Can you go somewhere with a pool? That might be fun for you and LO! Also could you find kid friendly stores or things to do in that city so you aren't cooped up? Like parks, kids museum, aquarium?

@winniebee: Haha the city's in the middle of nowhere. 2 hours from Atlanta. They have an airforce museum! That's where DH took me to take pictures. HAHA. Eek!

@ChopSuey119: Ahhh - I get it now. I live in Atlanta, and have a better understanding now of your dilemma. At the very least there should be a few parks to stroll around in . . . and I still think you'll have a good time.
Do you like to shop? I think there is probably a TJ Maxx (and a few other similar stores) in Warner Robins, which could yield some great finds. The Atlanta stores are always so picked over I never even bother to go anymore, but I have found the best stuff (like a Balenciaga handbag!) at the smaller city stores, i.e., Columbus, Dothan (Alabama), etc.
