I wanted to get other people's ideas here: Today I was at the grocery store alone (bliss!) and while I was checking out, at a few check stands over, there was a younger (than me) mother with three kids who all looked to be under the age of five. Her middle child was screaming and having a giant meltdown. People in the store were being judgy and I couldn't decide what to do. So I did nothing. But as I drove away I couldn't help but wonder if I should have offered to help her. I think we've all been in these situations and while I would probably never accept help, I very much wanted to help her if she needed it. So what would you have done... ignored the situation and move on, offer to help the mom, tell the mom she's doing a great job, or some other reaction?
Not looking to judge her at all, just wondering what other moms would have done in my position.
