Bee and I were talking about what we would do on a weekend without the kids. I would love to have brunch with friends, watch movies, play video games and just sleep a lot... but I also love spending time with the kids on weekends, and I'd hate to give that up. Maybe i'll do a dadcation during the week sometime.
What would you do on a momcation/dadcation?

Sleep late, shop without feeling like I was sprinting, read magazines, clean the house... maybe see a movie and go out to dinner!

Sleep--movies, brunch (ideally I wouldn't be pregnant and could drink lots of mimosas), shopping, more eating out, seeing friends.

I would sleep in, go out to eat, see a movie in the theater, and go shopping at a leisurely pace.

On the few momcations I've been on, I'm usually eating, shopping, or gabbing with mom friends 
Spa, sleep, shows, etc. are a bonus!

Sleep, watch a movie, go out to lunch by ourselves, leisurely shop, early dinner, go to sleep early. Sleep. Did i mention sleep?

With one day? Brunch, then pajama day on the couch together watching movies and relaxing. All food ordered in of course. We did this pre baby and I miss it so much.

On a recent work trip where I had a day of downtime alone: I slept in, ordered lunch to my room (including a big glass of wine) sat out on the balcony with my feet up, ate my lunch lazily and read a book in peace. Then I took a nap.
IT WAS HEAVEN.

My perfect vacation day, ideally in the closest big city, so Toronto or Boston or NYC:
-Sleep in after a restful night sleep
-Walk around with DH and find a nice breakfast or brunch place, no worries about size, crowds, highchairs
-window shop, browse, try on clothes and shoes at my leisure
-catch an afternoon movie with DH
-afternoon nap, or maybe a massage in the hotel room
-late dinner at a dive bar, maybe with a band playing? Jazz would be nice!
One day would be good enough to reinvigorate me before I would miss DS too much!

Yeah, I wouldn't want to lose a weekend either, that's my favorite time with my family. But a mid week vacation would be fun - I'd like to go to a nearby big city and explore. Or go to a little cabin on a lake where we could paddleboard and swim and stuff.

We are taking a little getaway from our LOs in a few weeks and I'm so excited! It's just 2 nights but we are going to see friends, go to museums, eat good food, stay out late, get up late and go shopping. I can't wait to spend time with just my husband. We haven't had a trip like that in 2 years!

A hike that is longer than 3 miles. That is about our limit for our 3 year old, and usually the last mile is all whining and dragging. It would be nice to be off the grid for the day.
One day we hope to hike the Appalachian Trail once the kiddos are out of the house. Kind of a celebration of the start of "our time" again.

OH I would want to go shopping, get and mani/pedi, maybe have a drinking lunch with friends or an afternoon funday with games and drinks...pretty much my pre-baby life

one of those resort spas would be so incredible! facial, massage, mani/pedi, long hot baths - that is the epitome of relaxation. Then a couple exercise classes, a little shopping, and reading. If there was an ocean beach nearby, reading on the beach.
That would be an insanely expensive weekend haha
