DS is 21 months and the past three months have been a blast! He's started talking, tries to be so independent, etc.! (I miss the NB snuggles, but not the lack of sleep :P)

hard to say, but I'm loving their ages right now!
almost 3.5 years old and 20 months!

This one (22 months) by far! He talks so much, is so funny, and is way cuddlier now than he was as a baby!

So far, I feel like each age has been my favorite as we go through it. LO is 33 months now and so chatty, opinionated, and independent, but still needs her mama. I am curious to see if/when that pattern stops.

@MamaCate: this! Every age has been my favorite as we're in it.
At nearly 19m I am totally loving life with my girl. Super fun age!
pomegranate / 3759 posts
Yep every age is always the best age. Seems to just keep getting better and better!

LO is 22 months old today and I am really loving her current age. Before bed she could not stop smooching me and DH. She is so silly and fun, with a huge heart.
I actually don't feel that every age was the best age. Months 18-19 were terrible due to teething...she was throwing tantrums left and right, whining a lot, and not sleeping well. I'm so glad to have my happy girl back!

M is almost 2 and I'm just loving it! She is super verbal and totally cracks me up. Getting a little more independent but once in a blue moon (tonight before bed!) still falls asleep on my chest

I have been loving 10 + months. He's been such a blast. He's exploring and becoming independent and visibly learning something new every day. Yet, there are very few behavioural issues that we need to correct. It's been awesome!

11 months till now (15 months in a few days) she's so sweet and silly and I love watching her figure things out!

I always feel like the age he is is the best one but then it gets better! I will say that between 15-21 months were a really rough patch for us. He is almost two and he is so darling, fun and super snugly which I love!
nectarine / 2964 posts
Between 1-2 year old was the best! The food throwing phase stopped, and terrible two hasn't started.

it has been different for each child. for charlie the golden age was 18months - 24 months. Learning so much, so curious, so much fun.
Olive was tougher at that age because she wasn't as verbal. I think the 2 year mark was the most fun with her.
It did keep getting more and more fun but the 3's and 4's were definitely way way more frustrating. I look forward to when they're a little bit older!

@78h2o: I think I am going through this right now.
I've loved every age, but this newfound tantrum, whining, clinginess coupled with extreme sweetness, loads of new development, and then non-stop teething - it's like a roller coaster of highs and lows around here. I'm hoping the teething pauses soon.

Right now, even though we have a lot of challenging moments. He's off to preschool and he's learning such interesting things, like which animals have wings, which swim in the ocean, etc.

So far I think it gets better as she gets older. She's almost 14 months old now and it's my favorite age yet!

T is 6 months and so far this is my favorite! He's so alert and active. He interacts with us and it's so fun watching him learn.

I loved 18 months to 2 1/2 with my son. It was the perfect age of expression, independence but no defiance yet. Im not a newborn person so really this was my sweet spot in childhood. I thought I would love it with my daughter too (who is 14 months) but I admit I have enjoyed her a lot at this age of around 1. She is just so sweet and snuggly and attached still and its so nice. My son while cuddly wasnt the same way as she is and I guess now I have a favorite age for each child.

I keep saying every age is my favourite as we go through it but I really, truly am loving DD1's age right now at 26 months! She is just so much fun to be around and I love watching her start to do some imaginative play. She also is super cuddly, although she always has been, and loves chatting up a storm. I seriously cannot get enough of her. I'm also loving DD2's age at 7 months, but I know how much better it is going to get as she gets older!

I'm going to be the contrarian and say 10-12 months I loved- sleeping better, cute but not walking. And then age 2.5 onwards again loved- potty trained, talking, interested in more varied activities, etc. In between there were weeks that I loved but I also found the non verbal-trying to be independent-teething molars toddler stage more challenging. This was the case with my older one and is again the case with my younger one. Thank goodness they are cute!

Right now. The 25/26m-2.5 range has been really fun. She stopped tantruming so much, she talks a lot now, its amazing watching her learn things so rapidly. Cant wait until potty training! lol

@lamariniere: Agree!
I'm loving this age with DS - 18 months - but I remember not liking the 18-24 month range with DD.
My favorite with DD has been 2.5+...
Right now DS is pretty great, and I think it'll only get better.
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
Each better than the last because she gets more independent.
pomegranate / 3706 posts
DD1 started getting so fun around 10-11 months when she started walking and talking. She got a little difficult starting around 18/ 20 months and then more so when she got a sister at 22 months, but she's been pretty fun lately at almost 2.5.

So far I've loved from 12 mo + DS is almost 2 and so much fun. DD is 3 weeks and I hate to say it, but I want to skip past the baby stage. I like the toddler stage so much more. Probably had a lot to do with DS being a horrendous sleeper until after he was 1.
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
Seems like I say every age is my favourite, but I'm really loving 16 months. She's saying new words almost daily and she is really funny! She also mostly sleeps through the night and takes a decent nap so that's pretty amazing.

Mine is just about to turn 18 months and I'm LOVING this age so, so much. She's STTN, expressing herself (and I can actually understand what she need/wants a lot of the time), and is just an absolute delight to be around. Loving it!! I'm excited to read that this stage will last a little while
watermelon / 14206 posts
I loved the toddler years with D. I'm excited about them with M. But elementary age is fun, too.
papaya / 10570 posts
10 months to 12 months was magical - she was so happy to be crawling about but wasn't getting into everything yet, she had a little personality but no too many opinions. Then she turned a year old and decided that eating sucked, sleeping sucked and, basically, life sucked..... I think we are coming out the other side now but I'm going for 10-12 months!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
So far, every age had been better than the last. So, for now, it's 1 year old (although to be fair, I've always loved the 1 year olds).
persimmon / 1178 posts
18-26months were awesome- active, fun, sweet.
She is 28 months now and the last 2 have been full of tantrums and whining...not my favorite.
