Inside DS’s duvet is my old college comforter (still going strong after 17 years- its covered in sharpie marks and nail polish but since it’s inside the cover it doesn’t matter) from the Company Store. They have varying weights for their comforters which is nice since we use it year round.

@Foodnerd81: the one we have on our bed is from JCP Home (if I remember it's the house brand and medium weight), no problems with it either almost 5 years in.

IKEA and I have put it in the washer and Ryder a few times.

A cheap Ikea duvet, 14 Legos, two stuffies, and a pilfered granola bar.

We don’t need duvets anymore, but before we moved we had all Ikea duvets. They were all machine washable/dryer friendly.

@Foodnerd81: I think it’s one of those. It’s pretty thin. Online a lot say don’t dry, but I apparently ignore instructions and the duvet is fine. I don’t have time to deal with non-dryer items.

I use Company Store down blankets. They are just thin down filled comforters.

@Foodnerd81: As luck would have it, b woke up barfing in the night so I’ve now had the opportunity to wash/dry it and it came out good as new.

We have a cheap IKEA duvet on DD1's bed.and it has been through both washer and dryer several times with no issues

We had a duvet/comforter set for my first child, but then we learned she is a barfer (even a cold makes her throw up when she is coughing). So we changed paths and got a light quilt and a fleece blanket instead- way easier to
Machine wash and re-make the bed. Kid 2 in the same bed isn’t a puker but I’ve stuck with this approach and I like it better than trying to get those silly corners into a duvet.
