I have a jcpenny down comforter that I have had since I was 18! I think it was $89... or $100 or something. It has the box seams.

If I was going to get a new one I think I would look at l.l.bean.

Down alternative from LL Bean. I really like it. warm in the winter and not too hot in the summer. We used to have a real down comforter, i think it was from costco, but it leaked a lot of feathers every time we adjusted it. really annoying. and it got thin in some places.

We have a down comforter from kohls that we got from stackibg discounts and coupons. Its nice but too warm for using year round so we have it put up for now in the closet. It leaks feathers pretty badly too.

We have a down one from overstock that has held up really well but it is super warm. I need to get a new one that is lighter. I am happy with the one from overstock but I feel like other retailers might label better in terms of how warm they are.

We have a down one from Macy's. It's charter club brand so it's not their highest end but it is still nice. I have washed it in my washing machine and it's fine.

It doesn't leak feathers nearly as much as DH's old JCP down one.

We have a silk "down" comforter that my mil brought back from China (you can't buy them in the US). It's seriously the most amazing comforter I've ever had.

But I highly recommend the LL Bean comforters. They come in different weights, and they have a great guarantee in case anything happens to it.

We have two down comforters from The Company Store. One is winter weight and one is summer weight.

We have an all season down comforter from BBB. Love it.

Down from llbean. But we only use it in the winter. We use thinner quilts the rest of the year. It's quite warm!

We have a down alternative comforter. It was from Costco and cost around $200.. It's super comfortable. However, it's now almost 3 years old and needs to be replaced, it's gone a little flat.
