@matador84: Haha, I love snapchat! It's so pointless because you could do the same thing with a picture text message, but it's fun because it disappears after a few seconds.
I don't understand why acid wash is back in style. I also don't understand what bitcoins are.

I also don't understand selfies with things. Like - here's a picture of me holding my camera, taking a picture of me in front of <insert monument or famous place here>. Why not ask someone to take your picture? Then you get more of the background and a better photo of you!

Tinder was one but my sister explainedit to me this week so I sort of get it.
@mediagirl: guilty of the selfie, but only with the baby! Sometimes I don't feel like asking someone and I want a pic with me and C wherever.
I don't get the selfies behind the wheel. I see so many.

@Caly: @matador84: I think it's a dating app that has location features built in. I read about it in a business magazine. It doesn't get any more "I'm old" than that! Haha! (See the other thread!)

@sunny: @matador84: @Caly: yes it's a dating app. You set a perimeter, basically, so it will match you with other people within x miles (so, in NYC you might say one mile an get tons of matches, in Nebraska you might set it at twenty miles or whatever). I think you put really basic info of what you are lookin for (male, 25-35, etc). If you like their photos you swipe one way and if they like yours too, you "match" and you can start a conversation.

Never heard of snapchat - they talk about bitcoin all the time on NPR so I know about that (nerd alert!). I took a selfie behind the wheel the other day after my new haircut

I don't understand Twitter, Facebook, snapchat, or pretty much anything that has to do with smartphones haha. I hadn't even heard of bitcoin or tinder until I read it here. I'm glad I'm not alone!
