Hellobee Boards

We had about 80 guests at LO's first bday party. We invited family (my husband has a big family) and friends. The first bday is a big deal in Korean culture so this party was much bigger than I imagine his future parties will be.

Just threw LOs 1st bday yesterday, we had 35 adults and 10 kids. We rented a bug play space/gym. I think depending on space our guest list would have changed.

We're inviting about 40 people to LO's first birthday. I'm hoping to get that number down... but I have a feeling we won't. And then I'm just going to hope that people can't come because we have a tiny house. We're inviting family and some friends.

As she gets older it'll probably just be grandparents, aunts and uncles, and her friends. Right now she has no friends so we're inviting extended family too.

@blushink: If I had decided to throw LO's 1st back home, her party would easily be 125-150 people. So happy we live far away!

RJ's first birthday party was huge. His second was also pretty big, but smaller and less big of a deal than the first. Now that his next birthday party will be for 3 years old, it will probably just be kids and their parents, and whatever family can come. I find that the numbers get smaller as the kids get older (from the birthday parties we've attended) because the party is more for the kids than the adults. Usually it's at a kids gym or play place, with pizza and cake. Easy peasy-- and we plan on doing just that from now on!
