I've always got HB on the brain, and after spending a bit of time with the LO this evening in the ER, it made me wonder, what's the worst injury or even illness your LO has had? How did you react to it?

Nothing, thank goodness! She has reflux and I've had enough trouble dealing with her screams from that, I don't know how I'll handle anything worse!
Hope you're LO is doing ok!

My DS has been plagued with horrible asthma since he was an infant. Thankfully, now that he is 8, it is starting to calm down and he is growing out of it. We spent way too many nights in the ER- I think we may have a tab running! Other than that, he has been pretty healthy. The occasional cold, but nothing to land him in the ER except for the asthma attacks.

When my bonus son was a little older than 1 he started wobble running. Well one time he didn't put on the brakes fast enough and slid into the tv stand. He attempted to turn away from it and actually caught the back of his ear on the corner. He cut the back from top to bottom it was awful. However 3 years later he's injured himself so much, you just get used to it.

He had RSV when he was about 5/6 months old. No serious injuries yet, though. (Knock wood!)

@Boogs: I don't have any kids yet so I can't really answer. I hope your LO is okay, too.

Thanks all, he's ok. He dislocated his elbow playing with his grandpa. We are just glad it was a fairly easy fix and he's back to his usual self.
I'm glad all your LOs also have been overall lucky, too!

DS fell from the counter when he was around 8mths old or so!
It was "tradition" that all babies got bathed in the sink at his dad's moms house.. well I was the only one there (very ill with a thyroid condition) and proceded with his normal bathtime... I wasn't even arms reach away to grab the towel behind me on the other counter and he went to crawl out of the sink and sit on the counter...
Well he sat backwards and with half of his little behind OFF of the counter.
It was the most horrible moment of my life! It was like it was in slow motion and even though I was RIGHT THERE I just couldn't catch him in time!
He ended up with a skull fracture and a 23hr observation stay.... Worse day of my life =/
Thankfully DS is fine today (now 7 y/o) and is still just as daring! eek... sigh! lol
