DS's birthstone confuses me, he's a December baby. I never know what to get and most blue topaz pieces just look like aquamarine, my birthstone.

I remember when I was young I hated it. Felt it was an old person color. Now I've learned to embrace the green jewel tone and YAY IT"S THE PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR!!!!!!! <------ yes i'm a design geek. -
Garnet- its almost my birthday! I always liked amythest better though.
I agree those months with a couple options get a raw deal. I thought dec was blue topaz. -
Aquamarine. It's okay, but I find it a little colourless but sweet none the less.
