Bee and I are self-employed, so our policy is pretty standard for small business owners. We can take as many days off as we'd like, but we don't get paid!
It's a little late now since we're done having kids, but I realized after the fact that working for a corporation has considerable upsides once you have a kid. Paid parental leave, vacation days, sick days... sign me up! Seriously if I could do it over again, I'd probably get a corporate or non-profit job for the first few years of the kids' lives just for the benefits. I did work for a non-profit for a while, but as a contractor rather than as an employee.
What's your company's maternity/paternity leave policy?
