1. I've bought plenty of things off of the Classifieds.
2. All items I have purchased have shipped in a reasonable amount of time.

I feel if there is a delay on the seller's side, they should let you know if it's been 3+ days and they still haven't shipped. A seller cannot control the post office. A good rule of thumb is to always use usps tracking (if you create the postage online, you automatically get tracking info. USPS has had some really bad delays in the past 3 months or so. With tracking you can tell if it is on time or delayed.

I can't vote in the poll b/c I have only bought one thing, but the seller sent it along very quickly!

I've never had an issue. I've had someone apologize for the delay before when it really wasn't much of a delay at all!

Just a big box of clothes from Mrs. Tiger and a bunting from someone (blanking on who)

2. How many of your purchases have been shipped within a reasonable timeframe?
All of them - I was especially impressed with Mrs. Tiger, who is all around a dynamite seller

3. When there's a delay, have you usually heard from the seller with an explanation?

I've bought several times on the Classifieds and most people are great about shipping! I've only had one shipment delayed and the seller was in contact the entire time so I never had a concern that I wouldn't receive what I paid for. She included extra clothes for the trouble, too.

As a seller, I have been delayed a couple times for shipping. Usually, it had to do with a weekend and not having the time to get to the post office but I've always been upfront with it.

I've probably had ten or so purchases on HB classifieds. Shipping and communication was never an issue. One time something was delayed but the seller was out of the country and my payment had been a couple days delayed anyway (DH forgot to pay with his account) so it was a non issue to me.

I've purchased twice and everything has been slow but reasonable. I have no issues.
