There are so many good ones! Total Eclipse of the Heart comes to mind, as does Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go (great choice, @bananapancakes!). I just love these songs

I can't pick just one. Like a Prayer by Madonna or When Doves Cry by Prince (anything by Prince from that era!)
But the song that reminds me of being outside on the block in the summertime in NYC. All the kids out playing and our neighbor pumping music for all to hear is Soul II Soul's Back to Life. I love that song.

Had to come back to add Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie. Though apparently most of my *very favorite* songs are actually from the late 70s.
There are so many good songs listed here, I might have to have an 80s dance party tonight!
