I like the colors at Benjamin Moore, our entire house is painted in their colors/paint.

We chose it because our painter recommneded it and he used the contractor discount for it at the store we got it from.

Our whole house is painted in SW... except for some Ralph Lauren specialty paint.

I've always used Sherwin Williams and been happy with it, especially the one that comes in the plastic jug seems to cover well. But the last room I painted I used Benjamin Moore and I was very impressed! I barely even needed a second coat of paint (but did it anyways out of habit). It just gave great, even, coverage and left no roller marks at all. And I bought the cheapest one!

Porter's Paints, Farrow & Ball, and Ben Moore are what we usually spec.

I just use Valspar

Dunn Edwards or Behr

I'm not brand loyal and haven't found much difference between different paints. Our house has a lot of Maratha Stewart paint on the walls and it looks nice and covered well.

We used Behr for all the rooms in our last house, but switched to BM in our current house.

At the time I thought Behr was fine, but now having used BM I can definitely tell a difference in coverage. I always do 2 coats and still would have some inconsistent spots with Behr, but everything looks great after two coats with BM and no primer!

BM has the best colors. We only use Behr though since it's decent quality for the price and we don't care that much about our house at the moment since we'll be moving in the next year or two and renting it. Definitely will go BM in our next home though!

BM, though i prefer their Aura line over their Natura line. We used Natura and loved it because NO smells, low VOCs. I found the smell was way less than Sherwin William' low VOC line. BUT the quality of Natura is not very good over time and we've been seeing drip marks on the walls that had Natura paint. When we got our basement painted, they only offered the Ben & Aura options because they also found that the quality was poor with Natura over time.

Just food for thought!

The painter we are hiring only uses Benjamin Moore so were going with that!

We use Dulux Trade paint and Zinsser primers.
