Any BG product would be great but it also depends on when you start CDing. It is hard to know what you will like until your LO gets a little bigger than newborn size.

I won't have firsthand experience til spring, but we're going with BumGenius because I hear the most consistent good reviews about them.

BumGenius Freetime. It is SO easy. If you are trying out cloth diapering, look at jilliansdrawers.com. They are AWESOME and have a program where you can try a whole bunch of different diapers for 21 days for about 10 dollars! I live in TX, and so I got free shipping and no sales tax (plus they totally know what they are doing)

Our favorites are BumGenius 4.0s but I think that might be getting usurped by Peachy Green AIOs.
We also really like Charlie Banana.

Fuzzibunz elites are awesome! I hate snap-down rises because of the crotch bulk.

I would also like to vote for you buying one of a few different brands that you are interested in (or do a trial if you are so lucky to live somewhere that has that) and then deciding after you've used all of them for a little bit. You never know what might be annoying for you. MsMini hates crotch bulk, but I hate triangle snaps and adjusting with elastics (Charlie Bananas and Fuzzibunz have these). And be patient with the diapers. I used to hate certain diapers in my stash because they would leak, but it just turned out that I didn't quite get the quirks of how to make them fit properly and now I can get all of my stash to work without leaks.

i love kissaluv fitteds with covers. they contain all the poop and pee without any problems. i recently purchased bg freetime diapers and they are pretty great!
i also recommend buying a few different brands to see what you like!

I second (or third or fourth) bum genius! our entire stash is BG 4.0s and they have been great. it seemed way too complicated to have lots of different kinds and I read lots of positive reviews. we started LO in them around 12 weeks...

Just saw this and thought you might enjoy reading it! http://blog.diapershops.com/diapershops-com-reveals-findings-of-2nd-annual-cloth-diaper-pulse-survey
I hope to CD when he gets here this fall - I bought several FuzziBunz and BumGenius and then a few other options to see what works. I was cautioned against buying all of one brand, but hopefully we'll have success with them all!

Tots Bots Easy Fit! Seriously... they are the best. My stash consists of those, BG 4.0s, BestBottoms, and prefolds/covers, and those are the easiest and best by far. And the aplix/velcro is super strong and has shown no sign of wear.

Grovia. I like these because you can do disposable inserts AND cloth inserts. We use the gDiaper cloths in them.

We've only tried one kind of diaper, bum genius. But I do think it says something that lo is 14 months old and we haven't had to buy another kind...... we love our diapers!
