My husband is out getting dinner and I'm starved so, my mind is on food! My favorite dessert is a fruit tart. I could eat them all day long.

There's this ice cream pie at a local place called Peanut Butter Thing. It's SO freaking delicious. It's basically peanut butter ice cream with huge chunks of chocolate pieces, a chocolate cookie crust, and whipped cream and they pour hot fudge and hot caramel sauce all over it when it gets to your table. Oh my god I want some right now.

I like chocolate souffles and gelato. I have a soft spot for cheescake, but rarely eat it any more due to the calorie bomb!

Hands down a Napoleon from Venieros in the east village.
I craved that sooo bad during pregnancy. When I went home to visit my brother & SIL stood in line for over an hour to get me two slices!!!
Heaven.

Tiramisu!! But I can't have it while pregnant so second place goes to...pink champagne fondant cake from my favorite local baker. So.yummy.
I just realized both of my favorite deserts involve booze, just a coincidence.

@regberadaisy: I haven't been to Venerio's in years! I used to live just a couple blocks away. Luckily, I had the metabolism of a shrew back then, because I could have been in trouble with all the cannoli, napoleans, and other tasty Italian treats!

I prefer homemade desserts like oatmeal cake, peanut butter cake, good old fashioned chocolate chip cookies, brownies, etc. I have a horrible, horrible sweet tooth.

@Mrs. Jacks: seriously delicious! Worth a stop every time we're back. The lines are crazy long but soooo worth it.

Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies are definitely my weakness! Also I love homemade rice crispie treats.
And I rarely pass up ordering dessert if it is a flourless chocolate cake.
