A light blew out in our hallway, and we're on day three right now. Feeling like we should change it soon, so maybe it'll happen this weekend? Usually Bee changes it just before I'm about to!
When a light bulb blows out, how long does it take you to change it?

It depends how high of a ladder I have to get out. Vaulted ceilings are great until a light bulb goes out.

Since we're putting the house on the market, we do it right away. But sometimes it can take weeks.

Our lights are sort of complicated so I can't really do it alone. Our bedroom light went out last week and it was out for a few days because we didn't have any of the right bulbs at home and DH kept forgetting to pick some up from Home Depot.

Years... Haha I'm so ashamed. There are four long tube lights in the kitchen. Two went out ages ago. The last two were on it's last leg and started to flicker. So DH decided it was finally time to go to the hardware store and buy some lights to replace them. It took him only a few minutes to get it done, and he admitted for once that I'm right. I get on his case for not doing house projects because of how overwhelming they are to him, even the smallest of tasks. He is always afraid of running into more problems since our house is so old.

The light above the stove blew out months ago. I've written it off as I'm never getting light under there ever again! Haha. Same with one of the lights in back of the stair railing. No idea how to change them or what kind of lights they are. For normal (easy to change and acquire) lights, DH changes it, usually when I remind him

We change them as soon as they blow. Each light in our home is necessary so it usually can't wait!

Depends. We have two out now but we keep forgetting to buy bulbs. If we have bulbs then right away.

Usually right away...DH keeps a stock of spare bulbs for everything and we can't stand lights being out or things being broken.

Depends how much if a PITA it is to get to. If it requires just 1 person and no more than a step ladder my husband does it same day. But right now we have a light burnt out in our living room that has a cover on it that is the MOST annoying thing to replace (last time it took us like an hour to get it back together) and so its been like... a month?

Usually right away, esp if we need that light! If it's not something we turn on often, we might not even realize till later haha
