So so so sorry! How awful to have to wait for that. Hopefully these three months will go by super quick for you! Were you planning on charting? Maybe you can start that so you'll know more about how your body works and when you'll ovulate so you'll be ready.

Man, that sucks, I'm sorry. The plan through my work just needs to know you weren't pregnant before you bought the plan. What does it offer you? Could you start saving money now, go off birth control and if it happens, have enough to cover what the plan would cover?

That is ridiculous! Insurance issues can be so frustrating! Hang in there and if you are going to wait the 3 months, as @artbee says, this could be a great time to work on learning about your cycle and perfecting your timing. That time will just fly by!

I have Aflac as well and made sure to ask them about that. If it helps, with our coverage we're getting a $6k+ payout when DD comes out! I know you're anxious to get going but it is a great system for planned events.

Oof, I'm sorry. That's tough. We're a month out from TTC and the wait is killing me!

@MamaMoose: From what I know of it, if you enroll through a company you're locked into yearly contracts so you can only get in or out during open enrollment. So when I went to join they got me to join in April but knew I was locked in for a year. Then, since we weren't planning to get pregnant until August, I technically was locked in for 2 years. Even with 2 years I think I calculated that I would make almost twice my money back.
However, I was laid off and became an individual subscriber so now I can cancel at any time. So as soon as I get my payout, I'm calling them!
I think that they lose money on pregnancies (depending on what policies you purchase) but make more money on people who don't have a planned event but pay anyway.
