We stopped just before 13 months. I wanted to because I am pregnant and wasn't interested in tandem nursing. Otherwise I would have loved to continue!

My supply tanked at the 12 month mark with my son so I just switched him over to whole milk. I would've continued if my supply kept up. =\

I am down to just nursing at night and she is 7 months. I will be done by the end of the month. My goal was always 6 months. I need to feel like myself again and I really think BF was hindering that. I already feel better after quitting during the day.

I have another month of milk in the freezer so she will get one bottle of milk till 8 months.

Depends which kid:
DD nursed until she was 1, I stopped because I was down to only twice a day feedings and my supply wasn't much.

DS nursed only until he was 3 months old, he had crazy nursing issues and wasn't gaining weight. I was super upset that we only made it that far.

He's still BFing at 12 months... not sure when he'll want to stop. He seems to be addicted!

i'm planning on quitting pumping at one year (next month!!) and then slowly weaning him off of the AM/PM session as he seems ready.

S just self-weaned in the past 2 weeks, he is 17 months old.

Still going strong at 10 months - our goal is 12 months, but I am terrified of the weaning process at this point.

Still nursing at 1 year old (tomorrow!) about 5x a day...I'd like to cut down to 2-3 sessions and then completely wean by 18 months.

stopped all together at 10 months. we'd supplemented with formula at night from around 9 months, after getting pregnant again at 7 months PP made my supply pretty low. he wasn't super interested in nursing at that point anyway, i don't know if it was due to the supply issues, or if the taste had changed, or if he could just tell I was sick of it (the discomfort was crazy!!)

when LO was 10 months we flew long haul while I was at the peak of my morning sickness, and i guess my body decided that it was giving up on this milk making thing for now. I didn't even get engorged when we stopped cold turkey!!

4m on the nose. I quit purely for selfish/over bf'ing reasons! It was a great decision for me!

3 months. I had PPD and M had terrible colic that turned out to be MSPI. We both did much better once we switched to formula.

I attempted to breastfeed for about a week, but LO couldn't get the hang of it and never really sucked. I decided to pump at day 2, and I EP'ed for 13 months.

16 months, we haven't stopped yet. I think we will stop when she sleeps through the night. Please, someone, please help her STTN.

Right before his first birthday he started refusing. I would've had to hold him down and force him to and I didn't want to do that. I kept offering but two weeks shy of his first birthday we were finished.

He still has two mini sessions (morning & night) at 12.5 months. I don't feel like he is getting much but is still doing it for comfort.

i wish i weaned earlier, but i don't think she would have wanted to. now she's 2 and i know we have a long road ahead of us!

Can I tell you all how inspiring this is! The largest group bf for over a year and most of the replies are that you were ready or the baby was ready to wean. I hope I am as lucky!

I put over 18 months but it was only by 1 day - her choice to wean though I was ready. She was clearly starting to lose interest around 16-17 months but we still did the morning session (her favorite) and occasionally at night if she woke up. I was ready to be done and right at her 18 month birthday we went to my mom's, who has 2 cats. I nursed her one last time there and the next day she asked for the cats instead when she woke up. Good timing for both of us!

LO is 13 months, and I am down to twice a day. I am currently working on weaning, but she just started full-time daycare, so I don't want too many transitions all at once!
