DD is 11 months old and she has no interest in her lovey. She likes to cuddle with a fluffy blanket but not the little security one that is "crib" approved in my mine. I usually let her fall asleep with the fluffy one and then take it out before I go to bed so I'm not worried at night. When did you let blankets in the crib?

Xander has a bunch of A&A blankets, but they are totally breathable, so I haven't been worried. He's getting his first "real" blanket for his birthday at 3...

My son slept in a sleep sack until he was about a year and a half, so he didn't need a blanket. After that, I gave him the Aden & Anais dream blanket, and he loves it!

A little before 1 at night. We started with naps so I could supervise.

They sold them at Costco for like $10 a set - its a crib sized reversible velvet/sherpa blanket, plus a plushie flat pillow. He doesn't keep it on him since he rolls around so much, but it gives him some residual heat when he's sleeping up against it or on top of it and at 17 months, he's learning to pull it across his belly at night and stroke it.
We have all 4 animal sets and send them to daycare too.

Bennett is 2 and still uses a sleep sack, but we've started putting a blanket over him while he naps.

I wish a sleep sack would work but she's hated them since she was about 6 months old. She screams until I take it off.

Well I'm sure a lot of people disapprove, but I put a blanket over LO and she's 8.5 months.

We cosleep but we've never put the comforter on her. We put a blanket on her around a year since it's winter, but she kicks of it off anyway. She's been sleeping w/ a lovey since like 7-8 months.

I started trying to put a blanket in when LO was around 1, but she would freak out, so I took it away. I would try again every couple weeks, but it just didnt seem like she like to have a blanket anywhere near her. Now at 17 months, I put it on her, and she rolls over it and ends up laying on top of it.

I'm with @MrsBrewer: , I'm sure people will dissapprove, but J has had a blanket since about 7 months. He LOVES blankets, he snuggles in, sucks his thumb and goes to sleep. His favorite is crotchet so that's the one he sleeps with. He has never twisted himself up in it which was my only concern.

DS is 4.5 months and Ive been letting him sleep with an A&A blanket- its super lightweight but he likes holding it at night since he isn't swaddled anymore.

@gingerbebe: That is so cute! Our doctor recently reminded us he could have a pillow and blanket. He's in a sleep sack but now I toss an A & A over him before I leave the room. It usually ends up wadded up in a corner!

I'm another one who's sure to be judged and I'm ok with that. My 6 month old just started sleeping with a crocheted blanket. It helps her fall asleep, she doesn't move much in her sleep, and she's mobile enough that she rolls right away from it when she wakes up.

If DH wasn't so paranoid we would totally have LO sleep with a blanket and he's 8 months. If he is sleeping with me we share a blanket. He LOVES blankets. I may start introducing the a&a ones during nap since they are breathable.

We started giving it to her for naps around 15 months and at night around 16-17 months. I was super paranoid, but she loves her blankets and does well with them.
ETA: we still keep her in her sleep sack since she usually ends up outside of the blankets by morning.

We let our DD have an A&A Dream blanket in the crib when she turned a year old. She's 13.5 months now, and usually just snuggles it for a minute and then ends up laying on/around it all night.

I've let DD have an A&A blanket for naps since a little after 7 months. I still can't let myself leave it in there overnight though (even though I know I'm being paranoid).

I got T an A&A dream blanket for her birthday. So she will start sleeping with it in less than two weeks at 12 mo

My DS had really blankets in his crib from probably 7-8 months. I was never worried to be honest. He never slept with a sleep sack because he was too hot. At 2.5 he sleeps with an A&A dream blanket, two other blankets, and a toddler pillow.
DD sleeps in a sleep sack still (7 months) but has had a lovey in her crib since maybe 3 months. It's an A&A one and I'm not at all worried about it.

We didn't use blankets because they kicked them off and instead used fleece footed sleepers to keep them warm. Kids were around 3 when they stopped kicking them off
However they were both using muslin blankets (more as a lovey) by 12 months (maybe earlier, cant remember)

around 18 mos...she never really used them though until she went into her toddler bed around 26 mos...
