When did you start getting contractions, Braxton hicks or real? How often did you have them?
I am 26 weeks 5 days and freaking out a little because I had a few contractions tonight. I am resting now and my mom came to help with DS but I am a little panicked.

With DD, I had just ONE Braxton-Hicks contraction at 27 weeks. And then my labour contractions started at 40w3d...I gave birth the next afternoon.
With #2, I've been having Braxton-Hicks since around 25 weeks, constantly.
No worries! Completely normal!

Been having BH since 28 weeks; not painful, localized hardening of belly, and subsided when changed position or activity level. Started having contractions at 34 weeks; painful, entire belly hard, nothing I do stops them. Having contractions now as I type this at 40+3.

@Rubies: thanks for the reassurance. This is baby #2 so you would think I would be more at ease with this, but I am nervous about delivering early again. Also, it is hard to rest when you are chasing around an 18 month old! It's harder to know then what is going to turn into more real contractions and what are just braxton hicks!

With DS, I didn't notice any BH contractions at all. I didn't not have labor contractions until about an hour or two after my water broke.
With baby2, I started feeling BH contractions around 26 weeks (I'm currently 29).

I started false labour (don't know if that qualifies as BH or real contractions) 5 days before I went into labour.

I had BH starting around 24 weeks maybe? I honestly don't remember. But I didn't have real contractions until 39 weeks when I went into labor.
