My LO took about 6 weeks to potty train and poop is still ongoing. Luckily he has no problem peeing in public bathroom (he loves them...) so it's been less scary to be out. He does poop when we are out but it's not much worse than changing a poopy diaper (I mean a little, but not horrible).

@Mrs Green Grass: R seems to have pee down pretty good. but she isn't pooping regular in the potty (It isn't a week yet) but I am dreading the pooping in public. Do you just carry change of clothes, wipes, and a plastic bag for the panties? Or do you just toss them? The more I think about it, I will just toss them most likely, I don't want to carry that around or have in the car.

@Applesandbananas: I hate the thought of just throwing them out. But I guess it is still cheaper then diapers. DH said he took her 3 times this morning and she wouldn't go, and then he gets in the shower, and she says Daddy I pooped, in her panties. Urg!

We are just going to do our normal routine this weekend and just make sure we bring a change of clothes with us.

@Smurfette: same, we have the pee thing down, but still not consistently going poop on potty. We will likely just toss the undies even though it pains me lol, but just too gross

We actually went away for the weekend 4 days after the start of training. I brought piddle pads I still had left over from the hospital to put under his butt in the carseat, but he held it fine. We just prompted A LOT! We're finishing our 4th week and I currently bring an extra set of clothes everywhere, but I think we're good now.

@Applesandbananas: thanks for asking this- I've been wondering how long it usually takes. My friend potty trained almost 2 weeks ago and is still nervous to go anywhere since her son pees so frequently and its daunting to watch!
