Morning, afternoon, evening or overnight?
If it was during the day, were you at work?

Never! I had contractions from 27 weeks after a car accident at 7 40 am, and then never noticed them get regular.
My water broke--most likely around 4am, but possibly as late as 1pm. Baby was born the next day at 7:41 pm.

Well, techincally night. My water broke at 11pm. We went to the hospital at 4am when I realized what it was. They sent us home to wait. I went back to the hospital at 8pm. They inserted Cervadil at 9 and then started the Pitocin drip at 4am... that's when active labor started, so I guess it was actually overnight.

My waters broke at around 4PM, I was sitting on the couch chatting on the computer and watching TV. My contractions didn't start until later that night. I didn't actually have our son until 40.5 hours after the waters broke.

Water broke at 1am, contractions really started after that. Looking back, I think I was having contractions and back labor the day before but I just chalked it up to braxton hicks since I was still 2.5 weeks away from my due date.

My prodromal labor started about 3am (multiple nights in a row) & finally kicked into active labor at 6pm 6 days later... I was at home.
factoid: most women go into labor at night because of the levels of melatonin along with oxytocin needed to start labor.
