I'm curious about when everyone went into labor with their first baby.
(In this poll, completely natural means no intervention of any sort, including stripping of membranes.)

I was 40 weeks, 4 days when I went into labor completely naturally. I hadn't even tried anything at home to try to induce my own labor, it just happened.

I was 39w, 5d and went into labor totally naturally. Though, I had gone for a pedicure that evening...hmm.....

I was exactly 42w by my ultrasound, but 43w by my calculation. I was induced with cervadil, misoprostyl, then pitocin per my midwifes suggestion. Baby was born naturally 9 hours after pit was started.

I was technically "augmented" at 40 weeks 3 days BUT I since I now know I was actually in prodromal labor & labor would've likely started days later I say I was induced.

I went into labor at 39 weeks 5 days. I had my 39 week appointment on the Thursday before I went into labor. When she checked me, I bled, but it wasn't anything to bring about labor. The next Monday night, I went into labor. Also, does doing a lot of walking count as an intervention? I did a ton of walking around our neighborhood, to the downtown Target, and right before I left work for the day, right up until I went into labor. I'm convinced this is what brought it on.

@cascademom: I wouldn't count the natural inductions like walking or sex as intervention, but I think stripping of the membranes isn't exactly "natural" so I consider that some intervention.

I had my membranes stripped at 39 weeks 2 days, bled and contracted (early labor, dilated to 4cm) until my scheduled induction at 40 weeks 1 day.

My water broke at 37w5d and labor started on its own. But I would have been induced at 39 weeks due to blood pressure issues.

Went into labor the evening of 40w6d, LO was born at 41 weeks even. Completely unaugmented.

I was a couple days late, they'd been telling me for probably 2 weeks they thought I'd be going any day. No intervention for labor to start, contractions started on their own and my water broke before we decided to go to the hospital. My mom's kids were all born within a half hour of her water breaking so got a little panicky but I had a nice long labor then.

Induced on 40 weeks 4 days (pregnancy induced hypertension), baby girl born on 40 weeks 5 days.

My water broke at 40+4 on it's own. I was induced 24 hours later after contractions failed to start.

Membrane swept at 38 1/2 weeks, induced at 39 weeks 5 days due to high blood pressure/water broke by doctor.

I was 39 weeks exactly when my water broke, and contractions started soon after. I was scheduled for a C-section (breech baby) a couple of days later, though, and had it a few hours after my water broke.

Well, my water broke at 39 weeks on the dot. But I didn't start contracting until 7 hrs later when they gave me pitocin. So is that natural or induced?

I went into labor at exactly 41 weeks (which was my original due date, but it had been moved up after the NT scan). My water broke while I was sleeping.

I went in at 39 weeks 2 days but had my membranes stripped two days before.

I'm not sure. FWIW I answered stripping membranes - but, my OB stripped my membranes earlier in the week and it didn't do anything. The day I went into labor I did have an exam, but she didn't strip membranes - just told me she could feel the bag of water (3cm dilated) and was going to schedule an induction for after the weekend for 41w. I went into labor that night (water broke, then contractions) and delivered 4 hours later.

On my due date, completely natural. Never had a cervical check prior to labour starting, no stripping of the membranes, or anything else to start labour, other than spending a lot of time sitting on the exercise ball towards the end of pregnancy.

I was actually 40 weeks + 1 day -- water didn't break, I just started having contractions, had the baby on 40+2 the next day!
I did have my membranes stripped at my appointment on 40 weeks - not sure if that got things going? I was 2cm at the apt. I also had membranes stripped the week prior at 39 weeks (ouch) and was a generous 1 cm at that apt.

I was 40w 2d and went into labor naturally. I was scheduled to be induced on the next day, however!

Couldn't vote for 2 so I voted for what happened with my first (since it'll be more applicable to you, as I believe this is your first?) ; went into labor naturally on my due date morning!
Second couldn't have been more opposite... had my membranes stripped multiple times, was 3 cm dilated for weeks, ended up being induced by pitocin / broken waters at 39 weeks due to Gestational Diabetes. It's my OBGYN's policy to induce at 39 weeks for GD moms and I was fine with that.

38 weeks due to high BP & low fluid that was causing decelerations because he was rolling over on his cord. I was 2cm and they started with a cervical ripening balloon for 24 hours and low dose pitocin after the first 12 hours of the balloon. They broke my water 48 hours after the start of the induction and he was born 12 hours after that.
