Just curious when others had a drink after baby was born, I'm itching for a glass of wine!

Well my mom brought champagne to the hospital to celebrate.....

I think I had a few sips of champagne the night we came home from the hospital. I was too tired to drink for a couple months, though. Plus, I was paranoid about breastfeeding after drinking, so I never had more than a beer or one glass of wine for a long time.

Around 3 weeks. My Mom came over after work and DH and I went out to dinner for an hour.

My MIL brought over a bottle of wine within our first week home. I was so nervous I only had half a glass, but it was so good.

The only reason I waited so long was because I was on drugs for my csection.

I can't even remember! It was shortly after... a couple days? a week? gee.

I think 6 months pp, and even then it was a small vodka and orange. I didn't drink again until after I weaned at 13 months.

I'm lame and waited until I weaned at 13 months with my first. With my second I still haven't had my first glass get at 4.5 months. I should treat myself to a glass of wine (more like a sip because I get tipsy after a few sips and baby's sleep is unpredictable).

Five months, I didn't understand how it would affect my milk so once I figured that out, I had a Redd's Apple Ale!

I'm just about 4 months pp and I still haven't. But I didn't drink a lot before.

I think it was last week. So that would be 6 months, but I'm not a big wine so I don't miss it.

Haven't had him/her yet, but we've got a batch of pina colada in the freezer just waiting to be thawed... plan is to throw it in the fridge on the way out the door to the hospital I expect a drink shortly upon arrival back at home.

About 8 weeks. I had a csection, so I couldn't mix alcohol with my pain meds. And my DS was in the NICU and I wanted all my breast milk to go to him. I didn't feel comfortable until I had a stash of breastmilk.

Well I'm still waiting for mine. I had DS#1, breastfed and then got pregnant again 10 months later and am now 34 weeks along. I still haven't had a drink since before we conceived DS#1!

The night we got home. Friends of ours got us some really good champagne for our wedding gift and we were saving the last bottle to celebrate the birth of our first. I bought special champagne flutes and everything. I was so tired when we got home, I wanted nothing to do with it and if my parents hadn't come over, I would have waited. But it did taste pretty good.
