I don't know what these are. Are they fun? I was thinking about doing bath paints with shaving cream. I think Mrs Bee has a guide on that around here somewhere.

I gave my son bath crayons once when he was younger (around 1 year) but he didn't get the concept that those crayons are only for bath. So he proceeded to use his regular crayons on our walls! I stopped letting him use bath crayons after that. Crayons with paper only! lol

Bath whaaaaaat?! That sounds awesome! I want some for myself; but, I won't get the for LO. I feel like if I allow him to use crayons anywhere but on a coloring book then I am training him to think " crayons aren't just for paper!"

@TurtleDoves: This is what concerns me about chalkboard paint on the walls! I don't want them to ever think that writing/coloring on walls is ok!

I also worry about coloring on regular walls! DS is 22 months and he colored on the walls with crayons already (FYI Mr. Clean Magic Eraser gets it off easy-peasy.) I have him trained now to say "color paper" whenever he picks up a crayon. Maybe we could do the paints/shaving cream since he doesn't have paint around the house normally, that's a good idea.

Such an old post, but BUMP.
I'm thinking about bath crayons for DS and my nephew for Valentine's Day. My question is... are they confusing in terms of what you can color on and can't?

@LBee: DD has colored on the wall behind the tub once. She is pretty good about it now that she has had them for a few months.

My son got them for Christmas, so 23 months, and he LOVES them. It makes it so easy to get him into the tub, he runs in to colour. Although mostly he demands we draw him things. So far it hasn't been a problem with him drawing on any real walls, we stress that bath time is the only time he's allowed to colour on something that isn't paper.
