For us it's going to be based solely on finances. Can we afford another daycare payment this month? Nope, ok, on to the next one.

For us, it will definitely be when we are financially able to have another. After that, we'll probably NTNP.

We felt ready emotionally and financially. But the idea of #2 didn't cross my mind until did was 14 months old.

@mrsjyw: my LO is almost 24 months and I still don't have baby fever like I did when we were first trying to get pregnant. I feel so awful for saying it but I am so happy and content with her that I don't have any baby fever. But we always wanted at least two kids so the practical side of me is winning out and we just started TTC. I've heard a lot of people get the fever bad when their kid is around 3...so I figure I'll hopefully already be pregnant when the strong desire for another baby hits me

Once I got my period back at 7 months we decided to NTNP because we wanted our kids close in age, or rather, I wanted to pop them out as soon as possible so I could be done.
We felt emotionally ready for another and were good financially too.

I didn't get the fever until 18 months pp so we started TTC soon after. I love the age gap that we have. The kids play so well together.

I think when we're ready to leave the city, if ever. There's no way we'd be able to afford daycare, school & everything else living here. So it's mostly financially-based, I guess.
