I started night weaning DS the past couple of weeks (he turns 1 this week). I refused to feed him. He'd burrow looking for it and he still does. Instead, I'll either let him fuss it out or his daddy will come to his rescue and pick him up. He'll calm down and go back to sleep. Rinse and repeat.

Well. We moved her to her own room around 7 months but she was still ending up in our bed & nursing every few hours after midnight. Around 9 months I said no more, so if & when she wakes up I go in, pick her up & sing her her bed time song & lay her back down. It took her about 2 weeks to stop crying completely but she gets plenty of calories during the day so I knew it was just habit for her. She still gets up around 4 or 5 to nurse & snuggle with us but I'm okay with that. From 7/730 to 4 or 5 without wake ups is so much more manageable than what we were previously doing

We did it around 11 months. Daddy went in when she woke up instead of me and it worked like a charm! I'd say it was about a week of that at most, then she stopped waking up.

Right before 7 months we sleep trained, and he started sleeping longer stretches - until around 3 or 4 am. We started making sure to tank him up with plenty of food during the day and he dropped that last feeding and sleeps 8-7:30 now.

We did it at 6.5 months when we sleep trained. DH started doing all night wake ups and I'd get up and pump so I kept my supply up (I had low supply) and C didn't smell the milk and get as upset since it was DH comforting him.

at 12.5 months, we did CIO with checks to get rid of her MOTN waking/to night wean and it worked in 3 nights. had some regressions, but overall a positive outcome.

We are still nursing 1-3 times a night at 9 months. Playing it by ear but thinking I might try night weaning closer to a year. I've heard that months 9-12 can be the worst for sleep, so I don't want to give up my easy tool for getting her back down until we get thru all this developmental milestones/regressions.

Still night nursing at 21 months but attempting to reduce the length / number of feeds with a view to night weaning at two.

Just started this past Friday. Basically trying a modified Jay Gordon approach, but essentially decided to just say no between 11p-5a. Lots of crying first couple of nights. Last couple of nights not as much crying. We'll see how tonight goes...

7 months - we did sleep training and she's been night weaned since the second night I think

By 9 months she self weaned night feedings. Occasionally she will wake at 5am to nurse, but 9 times out of 10 she sleeps through.

At 8 months we CIO'd for all wake-ups. She was nursing 2-3x a night before then but she'd fall asleep after a few sips so it was solely comfort nursing. Now if she wakes up after 4am I will nurse her & cosleep or put her back down. Before then we CIO with maybe a back rub if she's inconsolable but that's rare (knock on wood).
