I can't remember when I started doing little art projects with my DS1 - coloring, play doh, painting, etc. I feel like it had to be after 15/16 months. DS2 seems interested at 13 months - at a play space today, he really wanted to draw with crayons. So I'm thinking maybe throw that into the rotation. I'm sure he'll do it for one minute and then move on : )

G finger prints at her sitters and we have played with play doh a few times but she wasn't to into it!

I know we started doing finger painting occasionally before a year- but it's obviously very messy so it was a rare thing. She didn't really care for crayons for a long time but now at 2.5 she loves all art stuff.

I think around one year! Zero attention span hahaha.

I'm not brave enough to pull anything out yet, but K's been doing art projects at daycare. Sometimes with a crayon but mostly finger paint.

We did finger painting at around a year, I'd squeeze some paint onto the tray of my son's high chair and he'd just smush it around.
We also did playdough, but I'd basically flatten out a big piece and he'd stick things in it.

I'm not sure if this falls into art projects, but at that age, DD loved Avery dot stickers (office supply section for color coding). She'd pile them on top of each other or stick them together forming a line.

i tried at various points with my now 3 year old starting when he was about 1.5, but he's never been into it. not even at daycare.

I started letting A around 15.5 months? But only washable markers because she still puts most things in her mouth. I didn't allow it before then because everrrrything went in her mouth!

We haven't done any at home, but DD has done some art at daycare. She's 9 months. Last week they did a "night and day" thing where the babies stuck sticky stars and suns onto black and white construction paper. Apparently DD had to be persuaded not to consume the stars.
