I have the A&A security blankets for C. They are super thin and breathable so I let her sleep with one. She likes holding it and rubbing it in her face. If she falls asleep with it near her face I will go in and move it but I'm not that worried. She's just over four months and had had it since we sleep trained a few weeks ago.

I think we gave her a small stuffed animal at 9 months. She never touched it. At 18 months, she has a doll, a few stuffed animals and a blanket in her crib.

Around 9 months. But to be fair, LO didn't sleep in her own crib until then . . . if she had, it might have been sooner.

I think around 6 months or so when we sleep trained. He's got an Angel Dear lovey and a Taggies blanket. He's definitely attached to it.

Around 7-8 months - an angel dear lovie. then added a and a security blanket, then elephant stuffy (around 10 mos), then angel dear full sized blanket (around a year) and a second stuffy around 17 months.

I have the A&Asecurity blankets too and would be ok with her sleeping with it now at 4 months. However she's still swaddled. So she'll get it when I swaddle-wean!

8 months she got an A&A security, at 11-12 months she got a bigger fleece blanket that she's seriously so attached too.

I think I had been trying the "lovey" since around 3 months. Started letting her hold it to sleep in the crib ~5-6 months and I'd remove it. She started getting attached to it around 7-8 months and I let her have it in the crib. It's an Angel Dear lovey. Sometimes she ends up covering her whole face with it in her sleep. We see it on the monitor and if she doesn't move for a minute or 2, I go in and take it off. lol.

@shopaholic: C covers her face with it too. We go in and move it once she's asleep. Though now she's taken to rolling onto her tummy and sleeping with her face on it.

At 9 months he got a teddy bear in his crib. He loves to use it as a pillow. Before he falls asleep, he always moves around in his crib until he finds it.

@shopaholic: @Foodnerd81: DS used to rub his lovey all over his face too! it freaked me out. once he could roll over though, the problem fixed itself - he'd ball it up and sleep on it.

@Foodnerd81: We have the same security blankets and introduced them at the same time. He also loves putting them on his face but we aren't worried about it since, as you mentioned, they are super thin.

5 months he got an a&A security blanket, then we introduced an angel dear lovey around 6 months and he is now obsessed with it.

We use the A&A security blankets too. I let him use them once he could pull it off of his face. I would test him.
