My friend started putting stuff in the crib when her daughter turned two, and I was just wondering what the norm was.

We started using a baby afghan and a lovey in my son's crib at 6 months because that is when we sleep trained.

i still haven't put anything in charlie's crib and he just turned 2. i have put a blanket on him twice in the past month when the room felt a little cold. but other than that -- no toys, pillows, nothing.

I was just wondering the same thing! LO has started tugging/rubbing her hair when she sucks her thumb - I'd love to give her a lovey to hold instead, but I know she's still too young at 9 weeks. Curious to see the responses

I think I stopped worrying about stuff in DS's crib around 6 or 7 months. I still haven't used any blankets in there (that's the only thing I'm hesitant about), but there are a couple of stuffed animals and loveys and rattles floating around in there.

Since he started sleeping in his crib! He wasn't a big mover, and I just put it in the corner at the bottom, so not next to him. He was in a toddler bed before 2.

We just started using a blanket on him in the last few weeks (he's almost 4 months). I only put it up to about his belly button but the weight is helping him sleep better. I use an all cotton one (breathable) from A&A called the Dream Blanket. It's so nice!

We use the A&A dream blanket too, it's so nice! We put some small stuffed animals and loveys in the crib at about a year. Nothing big that he could use as a step to climb out!

I always WANT to put a blanket on LO but haven't and probably won't for a long time. She's 4.5months (as you know) and I will probably wait until she's much older.
