Our 8-1/2 month old is quite mobile now so she's started to go after things she shouldn't. For example, our outlets are covered but she still wants to go play with the covers. So I started tryinh a firm No. I'm pretty sure by her reaction she understands, it at least makes her stop for a second or two. Then if she keeps going I say no and pick her up and move her.

I say it now at five months for pulling my hair kinda stuff. She may not completely understand but she knows my voice is different. Hopefully it will help when she's mobile.

I also say it now, she's 6 1/2 months. She always tries to pull my hair, take off my glasses, etc. She has no idea what the word means, but I figure it doesn't hurt to try.

I think we started at around 7 months or so? I say it if she is trying to get into things she shouldn't, pulls hair, bites fingers (teething), etc.
