@Danizaur: yah I don't think lo is ready either - it sounds like the best thing is to follow your gut and start when you think they're ready, not based just on a date. I was just surprised our ped brought it up at this visit! I wasn't expecting it then kind of felt guilty because I was planning to wait? This post made me feel calm though, like everyone starts when they're ready and it will be fine!

4 3/4 months.
We tried at 4, but she was not into it. Three weeks later she loves it. We are doing one meal a day, and I imagine a teaspoon serving actually ending up in her belly at max. The rest ends up all over her face and hands.
I originally wanted to wait until 6 months, but she's into it, and it will be a bright spot during the day when I am at work and her beloved boobies are not available:)
We plan to transition into BLW at 5 3/4 months (1 month of purees).

We started at six months. She didn't eat much until seven and is still not totally into it at eight months. I really wanted to do blw but my LO wasn't in to it. At all. We started with banana and then did sweet potato purée.

6 months. She wasn't really into it until 7.5...and really started to love her solids at around 9 months.

We started with oatmeal at 4-months and then vegetables during the 5th month. She showed a lot of interest and was ready.
