Since LO's birth we have used a bassinet in our Quinny stroller. At 5 months, she is getting too long for it and is almost at the 15lb weight limit. We don't have a car seat attachment so the next step is to use the Quinny seat. Is a stroller seat safe to use at 5 months? It does recline, but not fully flat. She has good head control but does not sit up yet. Even assisted she's pretty wobbly. When did you put your LO in a stroller (without a bassinet or car seat)?

About 7 months, after we had switched to a convertible car seat. Didn't really have much choice.

I've put him in our jogging stroller seat since he was about 3 months old. When he was younger I just reclined it as far as it would go.

6 months or so...when she was no longer happy lying flat in the bassinet. Ours reclines pretty far back, but I don't know that we ever had her reclining that far (unless I was trying to get her to sleep in there - which never happened).

5 weeks in the City Mini GT double that reclines pretty deep.

I think maybe 3-4 months. She was reclined but not flat (ours went flat but she hated it). I put one of those infant head rest things in there to sturdy her.

6-7 months perhaps. I am not sure because we babywear so often. He was in his carrier seat for a long time, because he is on the smaller side. He has always had great control of his head and neck. I will be honest though he didn't care for the stroller and still doesn't really like it. He prefers to be worn in one way or another. The stroller is nice if we go shopping all day because he can put him down to sleep. Plus now he is nearly 16 months old and I am 8 months pregnant with LO # 2 so he gets a lot more stroller time.

We used our car seat attachment regularly (Peg Perego in UBV) but started using the stroller seat occasionally at 5 months. I don't think I ever reclined him all the way unless he was sleeping.

We took LO out in her UBV seat for the first time last weekend and she is 4months old. I didn't have to recline it fully (maybe 3/4?) and she did great!

Ok super! Sounds like I'll be ok using it now with LO at 5 months. She just looks really cramped in her pram.

Good question. At 4mths we might need to wait a little, but she hates lying down, so hopefully sitting up might help

~ 6.5-7 months. But she was on the smaller side and didn't sit up well. Most ppl I know IRL started around 5-6 months.

I think C is definitely ready for the seat in the UBV, but it's so much easier for me to carry her down the stairs in the infant car seat at this point. She hated the bassinet, after I was adamant that we HAD to have it. So we had to get the car seat attachment.
ETA: She is almost 6 months!

Ten or twelve weeks from memory. She wasn't enjoying lying flat and our Mountain Buggy is safe to use from newborn so we used the partial recline.

E is 6 months old but doesn't sit unassisted yet. I took her out in the pushchair a couple of weeks ago and she looked perfectly comfortable and enjoyed being able to look about. My car has been in for repair ever since so we haven't been anywhere but I will be using the pushchair without the car seat attachment from now on.

I think around. 5 months. I reclined it. You can also get an insert (jj cold makes a standard one) to help support the head.

I think between 4-5 months and we reclined it. She was so much happier in the stroller seat!

We started at eight weeks. She was getting too long for the bassinet. We reclined the away and used a head support.
