Olive is just about too long for our glider. Her head and feet touch both ends.
Where do you nurse, and at what age did you stop using a nursing pillow?

I think I used a pillow most of the time. LO was completely weaned at 8 months. I didn't have a glider, I fed wherever - bed, couch, chair etc. I found the pillow or something wedged under my elbow saved my arms and shoulders so I always used something.

My little one never really liked the nursing pillow, so we only used it for a couple feedings. It's currently sitting on our floor, and when Cameron has enough head control, it'll probably just be a chair for him.

I never really used one. Sometimes I'd put a pillow from the couch under her

I still use it at almost 14 months. We don't have a glider, so bed, sofa, armchair, wherever.

I never really used one either. I had a boppy that I would use sometimes. But rarely. I usually nursed on our bed and propped myself up with my regular sleeping pillows.

In the last couple of months I've used just a regular bed pillow. I still need something, but the nursing pillows are a bit too high now with my big boy.

I used my brest friend for the first 2-3 months and then I stopped cause she was sturdy enough to just cradle in my arms and nurse.

I stopped using the nursing pillow within the first 2 weeks. HATED that thing. DS had reflux so we were told to nurse him while he was in a vertical position. Around 2 months his reflux was out of control and it was near impossible for me to nurse him without laying down. We still nurse laying down at 10 months and it has been the best position for us.

@anbanan15: I almost always nurse laying down too. Lo is 11 months old!
I think I used pillows an my Brest friend for the first month only.

I used the boppy for the first 3 weeks or so, then got tired of trying to remember which room I left it in. Now I either use a couch cushion or nothing at all.
Now we call the boppy "Cam's Couch" since we use it to prop him up on the couch in the evenings.

DD is 10 months old tomorrow & we are still using the My Brest Friend (love! the boppy didn't work for us) almost all of the time! She hangs off the ends a bit but it still serves its purpose. We have a glider but I almost always nurse on the couch.

I have a boppy that I never used, I've just always held LO because it was more comfortable. I usually nurse on either the couch or the glider in his room.

I use the boppy all the time at home but also been practicing without so I can nurse easily if we are out of the house. I love my boppy!

I still use My Brest Friend but my LO doesn't seem too comfy on it!
@chopsuey119: are you on your side facing your LO? I like lying down to nurse but my LO throws up every time!

@autumnlove: Yep. I lie on my side and LO lies on her side facing me. Sometimes she'll lie on her back and just turn her head towards me.

I still use the boppy almost all the time at 11 months. For awhile I could nurse anywhere but now that he's older, LO gets too distracted anywhere but in his room, so we end up in the rocker with the boppy. I love it.
