When did you switch your toddler/preschooler to a booster seat? at 3 1/2 we just switched DD1 to a 5 point harness booster that will switch to a high back booster and then a seat booster when ready. I think she was ready even though she's still harnessed in, I wanted her to get used to sitting lower. She loves it which I was surprised. We moved DD2 to her old convertible car seat.

We're planning on switching this weekend. I've been having trouble getting him buckled into his convertible car seat (because he's huge). He's 3.5.

I had no idea they could switch to a booster so young!
Our convertible seat goes up to 65lbs and/or 49" tall, so we've got a way to go. DS is 3 and is just over 30 pounds, but he's almost 40" tall, so I'm guessing he will grow out of the height first.

Its my understanding that the guideline is 4 and 40. 4 years old and 40 pounds to switch to a booster.
DD was 4 years old but just shy of 40 pounds when we made the switch.

frontier is 2 yrs old and 25lbs

About the same, 3.5 we got the Frontier for her. She really likes it but she's still harnessed now at 4.5

LO is almost 5 years old and still in a convertible. He is 34 lbs and 40 inches tall. I'll probably make the switch once I find a good deal on a booster
