We never used bottles, but I think SIL started using the 8oz bottles at around 4-5 months? ACtually. *edit: I remember her filling up the smaller bottles to the top when her LO was 3 months old-ish. So they probably switched to the big ones around 3-4 months.

LO was bf, except for a once a week bottle. I think we went big at about 3 -4 months.

At 11 months we are still using the 5 oz bottles. My son just isn't interested in drinking more than 5oz at a time.

My LO never drank more than 6 oz in a bottle so never I guess?

DS is BF, but his occasional bottle was switched to the larger ones when he was ~6 months only because we switched to stainless steel bottles (LOVE). If he gets a bottle the amount can still fit in a smaller one, so technically he doesn't need the larger bottle even now at 9 months.

We did it around 3 months. Even though ours (MAM) said they made 5 oz, once you started adding formula to it there was always spillage and such. So much easier to just use bigger bottles. If I had to do it again, knowing what I know now, I would have never used the smaller bottles to start with.

We're still in the transition, and my daughter is 5 months old. If she wakes from a nap, I use a 4 oz bottle, but if it's been a few hours since her last feeding, I'll use an 8 oz. I doubt I'll fully switch over, as it's handy to have the small bottles when I feed her a meal of solids.

LO used to drink 5 oz but we just switched to a faster nipple and she drinks 6. She's 6 months old.
