LO is 13.5 months old and she still hasn't had ice cream.
How old was your LO when he/she first had a taste? When do you plan on giving your LO ice cream?

He had frozen yogurt this past Saturday, at 9.5 months. It wasn't planned, but we wanted to out a frozen yogurt place that had just opened next to Target, and felt bad eating it in front of him, lol.

I think we gave him sorbet for the first time around 15 months. Then we moved onto frozen yogurt. Now he's 3.5 and has ice cream all the time!

She was young...6 or 7 months? My MIL fed it to her.

I don't remember.... Probably around 13-14 months. My mom gave it to her. With my permission.

We gave her a bite at Easter brunch when she was 10 months.

We just gave her a few bites of ice cream this past month at 29 months. She also had sorbet for the first time this past month too!

Just after 1 year. We took her to dinner at the local ice cream place, and she was begging to try some of our ice cream after dinner.

@Mrs. High Heels: I know, ridiculous! I just kept reading "ice cream...ice cream..." I am going to brush my teeth in 2 minutes so i don't go back for seconds!

LO had coconut milk-based icecream at 12 months. She had some soy ice cream a few months back at 18 months. And sorbet a few days ago. She doesn't have it regularly, though, and since she's allergic to dairy, we don't eat it in front of her so it's easy to not have it in the house. Poor girl has no idea what she's missing.

LO was given a bit of ice cream by my MIL at around 4.5 months (without permission, sigh).
Today we went out to lunch and got ice cream cones and LO had her first lick of ice cream cone!! She was so good, after a few tries she figured out that when I said "lick" if she would stick her tongue out I would touch the ice cream to her tongue; she loved it!

LO is almost 2 and we've offered it to him multiple times. He doesn't like it!

@Arden: around that same time I walked in on my mom feeding my LO cupcake frosting. It was at least homemade (low sugar, real ingredients) frosting, but yeah, Grandmas....!!!!! They didn't feed me or my husband ice cream or frosting when we were babies; so not sure what they were thinking...

LO just had his first taste of vanilla ice cream at 9 months. Loved it!

She liked it but the cold freaked her out! lol

@yoursilverlining: my grandparents gave me ice cream at 4 months and my mom still holds that grudge! I don't blame her. I don't know what people are thinking sometimes.
