There are so many fun games that I can't wait for DD to play. I keep thinking she's old enough now, but most of the games have a 3+ age minimum on them.

I keep trying to play Go Fish with my almost 4 y.o. nephew and he's not quite there yet.

Age 4 was kind of the magic number for us with games. Before that, I think we did play Memory and some simpler games. At 4, she started playing UNO (Hello Kitty version which looks like maybe it's simplified), Candyland, Hi Ho Cherry O, Go fish, Zingo!, and lots of other games...

We played dominos with my son starting from when he was 3. He caught on to the concept pretty quickly (not that it's that hard). We play every night as a family. It's so fun! This is the one we have:

I would say at age 5 is when it becomes fun to play games with them. They can grasp how to play by the rules and they can sit still for the most part at that age. That said, don't break the ice is a fun game to play with young kids. It is just a pain to set up every five seconds.
