LO is 17 months and i haven't really given her spicy foods. But this past weekend we were at a friend's place and she was serving up spicy sausages. LO would scream and grab her tongue, but kept grabbing for more!
I guess spicy foods are fine now!

We didn't hesitate very long before offering it to him...maybe at 7-8 months? It was jambalaya, and it was pushing my heat tolerance.
He ate two bowls.

I haven't given her anything yet. DH wants to but I'm hesitant.

We have slowly introduced stuff that we knew wasn't TOO hot. She loved salsa for a while!

we didn't worry about age, and I like to cook spicy stuff, so probably pretty early - I figured she would spit out what she didn't like. she has always had a high tolerance for it, but sometimes she will say things are hot or touch her tongue (old enough to communicate now). I came to daycare at the end of snack the other day and she was eating salsa with a spoon . . .

I never worried about it...I figured he'd let me know if he doesn't like it. At 9 months he's had jalepeno, tikka masal, rogan, vindaloo etc
