We will start part-time preschool in the fall of next year. LO will be 3 in October of that year.
I'm SAH with LO right now but before I cut back on my freelance work she was in a combo of daycare & Grandma care.

My DD will be 3 in October and we are doing 2 days 9-12. Trying to get her used to a little more structure. It's really close to our house and small.

I've been a SAHM since DD1 was born and she'll start preschool next month - she will be 3 yrs 2 months old. The norm is 15 hrs per week (government funded for all kids the term after they turn 3) but I don't want her in that much, nor do I think five days a week of preschool is necessary at this age. We're going to do three days for a total of 9 hrs per week, 12:30-3:30, which should be interesting as she still naps every day (afternoons weren't my choice, it is what she was allocated).

DD1 was 2.5 in July. She starts preschool next month MWF 8:30-12:30.
Hope we all have easy transitions.

I would really like to start her this winter at 2.5 with a couple mornings per week, but there isn't really anyplace that offers that around us. So she will start right after she turns 3, next fall, probably something like 3 half days a week.
She will do a 2 hour drop off program starting in January at a local gym just to get used to not being wth me and a more structured day- plus give me a few hours alone with the new baby.

I put LO in a MMO program last year when she was just over 2 years old. She went two days a week from 9-11:45. We decided to send her last year because she's always been super attached to me and it did help her become more independent. She starts preschool in a few weeks (now she's 3) and she'll go MWF from 9-12.

LO started preschool at 3.5 years old, and he attended 4 days a week for 2.25 hours a day. Transition was really easy. He had a one hour home visit from his teachers where they got to know each other and ask questions. Then we had an orientation day where half of the kids came with their parents to play for an hour or two. The school did a great job making LO feel comfortable, and the transition was gradual. He has ever cried at drop off and gladly goes off to play.

DS1 started at 2 - days a week from about 7:30 to 2:30. He cried every day at drop off for a couple of weeks. But that got better. He eats and naps there better than at home. No issues ever. The teachers just told me he has really blossomed lately and has totally come out of his shell - only took a year! Ha ha - that's his personality.

DS will be starting next September, a couple months after he turns 3. He will just be going 2-3 half days a week.
ETA: I work part time nights as a nurse, but am basically a SAHM. DH is with him on the days I have to sleep for a couple hours after work in the morning, he has a weird work schedule.

I haven't decided whether to put her in next year at 3.5 or wait until 4.5. She's still home full time this year (she'll be 3 in December). I'm just not convinced she needs it yet.
