Dh is going to tell his boss about my pregnancy in about 2 weeks when I'm 12 weeks pregnant. We wanted to wait til my 2nd Trimester but his boss will be leaving for a longish vacation soon and we are sure he will want the heads up. DH is planning to take a month off and they will need to arrange for per diem coverage, etc.
When did your SO tell their employer about your pregnancy?

I don't think Hubs told his boss until I was like 6 mos pregnant. I think we were going to see him for something, and I was like... you should probably tell him. He was like "Guys don't talk abou this stuff!!" haha

Pretty early, about 6 weeks. He wanted to take time off to go to my first midwife appointment.

I would say pretty early- like six or so weeks. He was so excited about it, and wanted to make sure he could make it to my appointments. His boss has kids so she's awesome with giving him advice and giving him time off/suspending travel for him through this pregnancy!

I am pretty sure that Hubs told his boss around 7 or 8 weeks just because of how excited we were and how many appointments Hubs would need to go to. Now his boss is also my boss, so it worked out really well.

12 weeks I think, maybe even a little earlier because he was out a lot to go to doctors apts with me.

Around 12 weeks I guess? I had a few doctors appointments he needed to attend and we were also both invited to happy hour and it would have come up why I wasnt drinking.

I am jealous that your DH gets to take a whole month off! Mine is only taking a week and I am already paranoid about him leaving us to go back to work so quickly.

I'm pretty sure his boss found out from my boss (we work for the same company in different offices and our bosses confer on a lot of things) but it wasn't official in either of our offices until I was 12 weeks.

When we miscarried he needed some time off so he told his boss the real reason (his boss did not know we were pregnant). This time, he told his boss at 8 weeks bc we had a few appointments and didn't want him to speculate. His boss knew before mine did!!

He hasn't told them yet! i'm 14 weeks. he doesn't have to notify his manager when he's leaving for a dr's appointment, though.

Haha. Actually, my boss told his boss the same day I broke the news. His office has all been dying for us to have a baby though, so his boss was excited.

he told his work before i told mine! lol i just didn't feel like opening all the questions(i work in a small office with lots of ladies) and hate the attention so i was putting it off as long as possible! lol but it was around 12 weeks or so.

Hubs told his boss a week after I told mine, so around 15 weeks. He's also planning on taking a month off.

At 7 weeks - we had an ultrasound appointment at 8 weeks that he wanted to be with me for, as we weren't sure at that point whether I was having a miscarriage or not, and he needed the time off. His boss is a woman with two children, and she has been great, very supportive.

It was around 16-20 weeks. I don't remember because some people didn't find out until 20 weeks, but we heard the heartbeat at 14 weeks which is when we started telling people.
She was excited though. He just brought DS into work with him yesterday to show him off and all his coworkers went gaga over him.

I think he mentioned it casually to some co-workers after our 13 week ultrasound. His job is flexible though, so he had already been to a few appointments with me before he told people we were expecting.

DH told his boss about 13 weeks (after our u/s). He needed to tell him about taking paternity leave since they book things on his calendar up to 9 months in advance!
