Just curious. I have MAJOR foot/ankle swelling and moderate hand swelling (can't even think about wearing my rings).
Did it go down pretty quickly after delivery? What was your experience?

Mine went away at 1 week pp. but it did increase after delivery (which is to be expected) and I had a c section so the iv fluids made it a bit worse. My feet and ankles ballooned even more than they had when I was pregnant. My rings still don't fit, but I jammed them on my finger at 2 weeks pp and am just trying not to think about how they are stuck..,

My swelling went down significantly right away (within 12 hours of giving birth), even though I had an iv and epidural, but I know this is not typical. I was able to wear my rings within a few weeks. My feet stayed permanently bigger though (longer, not wider).

My feet were like fat little pillows! It took at least a couple of weeks after delivery for the swelling to go down. I also had a c-section, so that adds to the fluid retention a bit.
You'll have relief soon!

Within a week of delivery swelling was gone.

The day after I delivered it was gone!

Ugh, I'm sorry! Mine went away within a week or two after delivery. I think the majority was gone by a week and then completely gone by two.

Mine took 2 weeks to go away. I was amazed for weeks at how skinny my feet were again.

Ok, thanks for the responses. I can live with a couple weeks pp! I am in a wedding at 4 weeks pp so hopefully by then because total pillow feet, as one poster mentioned!

@wrkbrk: I only had swelling in my legs and feet and 1 week PP it was worse then at the end of my pregnancy. It was pretty much totally cleared up by 2 weeks PP

Ditto PPs...it took 1-2weeks. You should be fine for the wedding!

2 weeks for me too, but the majority was gone in a week

I was mildly swollen before delivery, but the PP swelling - especially in my legs - was RIDICULOUS on day 4 and 5, but it was mostly gone by 2 weeks PP.
