Just wondering when your toddler started to just take one nap a day. Dd has been fighting her second afternoon nap and I'm wondering if it's because she's going to drop it soon (I hope not). She's 16 months

I've been wondering that too. We're at almost 17 months old. He sang to himself for an hour in his crib for his morning nap. DH wore him out for a nap from 12-3. I'm thinking we're close to one nap because it's been a struggle to get two naps out of him the past few weekends.

Early, like around 10/11 months. He dropped it first at daycare and then a few weeks later at home too. He was fighting the 2nd nap.

15 months. I was afraid of her dropping to one nap at first, but it's actually a lot nicer now that she's down to one long nap versus two shorter ones.

About 20 months. I wanted 2 naps to last as long as it could. His afternoon nap stayed the same length (at least 2 hours) but he goes down much faster.

Dd was still taking 2 naps at 17 months old and DS#1 was down to 1 nap around 13 months (but he would have taken two naps longer of I let him)

I just pushed her to one nap at 12 months. I also like it way better. I knew that her napping would improve and it has.

LO is 19 months and just starting to phase into one nap per day. She takes a good 2-3 hr nap but depending how early in the day it is (usually around 11:00, sometimes earlier), she'll take another 45 min to an hour nap in the late afternoon. Right now she's doing one nap per day about 60% of the time and two naps the rest of the time.
