I'm just curious when your LO started having play dates with friends from school. If it starts in preschool or more when they are old enough to say they want their friend over/to go to their friends house. LO doesn't talk about her friends much outside of school yet but maybe that's because she's only 3.

We haven't had any school friend play dates yet. Most of the kids at school have WOHPs and get picked up after work on school days. Weekends we usually do family stuff.

We haven't really had our kids in preschool/daycare, but my oldest just started kindergarten and is at a playdate from school right now! Her friend lives three houses down, so it isn't a HUGE deal, but still! And, I'm not there. It is one of her first playdates without me there.

We have met up with friends from daycare a couple of times for DS1 (he is almost 3).

We both work out of the home full time as do every other parent at daycare. DD1 talks about her friends a ton but she's also been with them since she was 7 weeks old! On the weekends we are busy with house stuff and doing family stuff. She's 3.5 now and I can see it happening more in kindergarten and maaaaaybe at 4?

We hope to have a play date or two soon. My LO hit it off with a friend on day 1 and her mom mentioned getting them together one day. LO tells me which friends she wants to have play dates with, it's pretty funny. She wants to have play dates with her teachers!

We had an impromptu play date with a preschool classmate this afternoon.
Didn't know them before school started but they live nearby and were walking home when we were in the yard. So they stayed for an hour.
It was really nice! Turns out the mom and I are in similar industries.i -
We started having a lot of them at 3 because all the kids were asking for them by that age!
