My life has just been changed!! Baby S (2.5 weeks) wouldnt let me put her down this morning and I was starting to get frustrated, so I broke out the Lillebaby and its awesome!! Im cleaning my house now! Why oh why didn't I babywear my first baby???
So..... do I just wear her like this all the time?? Are there any downsides or any issues I need to be aware of? Do you wear your baby around the house?

I wore H all the time. I just made sure she was in the proper position, but otherwise I wore/carried her. I figured out how to breastfeed while she was in the Ergo, so once she was big enough I would do that while walking the dog instead of fooling with a stroller. At 2.5, she doesn't like to be worn, but that's fine.

I wear my second all the time. It's the only way to get anything done! And I agree, not sure why I didn't wear my first more often.

I wore c a ton too- she hated the stroller but loved the moby wrap. But with my second it's so much easier- especially with two flights of stairs to our condo and a slow reluctant toddler. I tend not to wear them inside though- with c because she only wanted to be work outside, with g because I want to be able to put her down once she falls asleep. But it makes th playground in particular so much easier!

I wear a lot and don't think you can wear too much! My son was older before I could master breastfeeding in the Lille, but it can be done. My favorite uses for babywearing are going for walks, grocery shopping, laundry, general light cleaning, etc. Now that Oscar's old enough to go on my back I wear him while cooking and doing dishes, as well.

I still wear a lot more then most. E is two, I barely take a stroller places because I love wearing so much more. N who is 3.5 still asks for ups.

Personally I don't think you can wear too much, unless the child is clearly unhappy in the carrier and you're still forcing them to stay in!
With DD I really sucked at wrapping so I didn't wear her till closer to 4 months.. After that it's been amazing! With my next baby I def plan on wearing from the beginning!

As long as her knees are higher than hips and she's positioned well you can't wear too much. And once she has good head control you can switch her to your back and it's a whole other layer of freedom.

Not safety wise, but personally I think you can wear them too much in terms of creating a habit. It's great for situations like you describe, but I would aim to keep at least one nap per day in a cot (or other sleeping place). My DS1 became a total wrap nap addict, and I wore him for every nap for going on 6 months which meant no sleep for me and was kinda restrictive. But if you're ok with that then obvs it's no big deal!

I wore my daughter all the times as a newborn and younger infant. She was a baby who absolutely refused to be put down. It was the only way she napped without me just sitting and holding her, and the only way I got anything done. We still babywear daily at 8 months.
I don't think there are any downsides. My daughter took a long time to nap alone, but I believe that was more personality driven--she doesn't want to miss anything and doesn't nap well period. It definitely doesn't seem to affect mobility for us. My daughter is 8 months today, and has been pulling up to stand for two weeks and crawling since 6 months.

I babywear probably still daily with my almost 11 month old! It's a life saver for short trips to the store, and even around the house if she is in a super clingy/crabby mood!

@Bubbles: I have to agree with this! I have a baby who for naps 90% of the time still needs to be held, and it's very restrictive..... She's just starting to go down in a crib now. I wish I would have gotten her used to crib napping a lot sooner.

I mostly wear her around the house when I'm trying to make dinner or something. And I wear her when I'm out with both kids.

It depends on what school of thought you go with. Sears says you can't ever baby wear too much. RIE says you need to put baby down to help foster independence (down flat on the ground, not in a baby holder like a swing). We've always done a combo. I've just gone with what felt right for us.

I loved wearing my wee guy but I did find that he developed a definite preference for sleeping on me which we had to work through when he was about six weeks old.

How are you wearing the baby? Is the baby facing in or out? I know I heard outward facing carries should be done for a short period in Beco Gemini (which allows forward facing carries). I'm not familar with the Lillebaby.

I wear him when we are out at like a party or event. I can't do it for too long because I have a bad back and he is HEAVY! So it isn't practical for me to wear him around the house very often.

I've wore both my kids a TON (I barely ever use my stroller) and there have been no adverse effects 
babywearing is a total game changer! As long as they are positioned properly (knees higher than bum, proper "M" positioning, not "crotch dangling") you're good as long as they want to be in there. Enjoy!!

@Bubbles: @MrsBrewer: my postpartum doula said this as well. I was telling her how great it was to wear him while I did chores and she warned me of creating a habit. I probably took it too far as I then almost never wore him inside or for naps. But he's always slept better in a crib anyway. Who knows if that's why.
My son is now 19 months and I'm just starting to try back wearing because I feel so restricted in this city! I hope it will make the subway a lot easier so I can leave my 10 block radius!

Is it just me or does your back hurt If u wear too much??
Like pp I wanted my babes to be independent mappers so I tried to limit. Also... Babies get bigger and heavier

When did do I baby wear? Now, mostly when running errands or cooking. As a newborn? All-the-effing-time.
Can you baby wear too much? NOPE.

Totally on my radar too! I'm waiting for the Ktan wrap I just ordered. Stalking my mailbox tomorrow!!! It'll be so much easier to do things and tending to the toddler while baby wearing!!

I plan to wear a LOT with #2! I am gonna need to be able to chase #1 around, plus they sleep better when they are close to mommy. I don't think you can hold your baby or wear them too much!
