I've learned that if I go get LO just because she's moving around and making noise, she'll be a grump. She has to take her time to wake up a little before I go get her, so I'll wait until she's sitting or standing up in her crib. She takes after her daddy

^ same here! She likes to roll around, make some noises, and just take her time. I go get her if she's sitting/standing or if she starts to really whine.

DS usually sits up and plays for a while before whining, "mamamamamamamamaaaaababababaaa" lol - that's when I get him

I usually wait until she is standing up. Lately she has been desperately crying for Mommy but then as soon as I go in she stops and laughs. Stinker.

When DD was still in her crib I would do a similar thing, I would go in and turn the light on but give her time to "wake-up" before I took her out; DH didn't think this was necessary and would almost always end up with a grump on his hands. Now that DD is in her big girl bed, we go by and open her door but don't turn on a light or go in, when she is ready she will come out on her own, which usually is less than 5 min from when we open the door; on days when we don't have time for this she is definitely a grump.

We usually wait until she is crying...which is usually 15-20 minutes after waking up!

We usually go in when we hear her. She's always a happy baby in the mornings and can play by herself for awhile but she cries as soon as she wakes up any other time.
